About
I'm an 18 year old writer, doubling as an editor and an english literature student on the side.
Starting off writing Hemingway inspired stories age 13, I knew I'd always write. But I didn't really discover poetry until age 16 when I found myself crying at Carol Ann Duffy live. But I really fell head over heels with writers like Leonard Cohen, Patti Smith, people who created beautiful work that didn't see planned or too crafted. Since, poetry has been my main creative output, my journal, my work. It's therapy and torture. I work by the Patti Smith quote-
'And you just keep doing your work, because you have to.'
My first collection, chrysalism, was born from a tipsy conversation but was years in the making. It's a summary of my work so far, an eclectic collection of memories and emotions.
This is my dream, thank you for helping.
